Who We Are

Our History

Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) is the premier organization with national reach dedicated to bringing together women in cybersecurity from academia, research, and industry to share knowledge, experience, networking and mentoring.  Established in 2012 by Dr. Ambareen Siraj of Tennessee Tech University through a National Science Foundation grant, WiCyS is a non-profit organization offering many membership, sponsorship and collaboration benefits.

The WiCyS Rhode Island affiliate embodies the same dedication with a focus on catering to the needs of women in Rhode Island by undertaking activities to provide community and promote recruitment, retention and advancement of women in cybersecurity. 

Our Mission

Recruit, retain and advance women in cybersecurity to build a robust cybersecurity workforce.

Our Vision

A world where cybersecurity workforce is an inclusive space.
